A Good Listener

Some friends-in-need are more ready to talk than they are to listen, so simply listening to them can do more good than any advice you might want to offer once they’ve finished talking. Advice and opinions that were not requested can do more harm than good, and simply being allowed to speak lets your friend gain a perspective on their concerns that they couldn’t get until the words were released from the spin cycle of their mind.

You’ll know when it’s time to talk if you listen closely enough, listening beyond the physical to the flow of energy and intelligence that all of the words being spoken are riding on top of.
